YMCA is recognised as the largest provider of safe, supported housing for young people across England and Wales, offering a total of 10,432 beds. These accommodations cater to a diverse range of needs, including emergency housing, supported long-term housing, as well as hostels and foyers designed to offer additional support for young people as they transition to independent living.

The YMCA’s approach to housing support emphasises the empowerment of its residents. Each individual is considered the central figure in their own journey, with support plans tailored to their unique needs and aspirations. This person-centred approach ensures that residents have the necessary resources to thrive in their personal development, particularly in areas such as education, training, employment, and volunteering. The ultimate goal is to equip them with the tools and confidence needed to secure a positive future and sustainable housing.

As a member of the wider YMCA Federation, YMCA St Paul's Group (YMCA SPG), which is a charity and registered housing provider based in London, adheres to a mission rooted in inclusivity and Christian values. Their aim is to empower young people by providing resources and support so they can thrive; and to create inclusive, active and healthy communities where everyone can flourish. The organisation’s vision extends beyond just providing housing; it is about fostering an environment where young people are supported in their personal and social development. In 2023-24, YMCA SPG housed 1,560 residents across 37 housing sites with 297 positive ‘move ons’.

To enhance its ability to provide high-quality housing and improve the overall well-being and safety of its residents, YMCA SPG has entered into a strategic three-year partnership with Asprey Management Solutions. This collaboration has introduced Asprey Assets, a comprehensive operational asset management and planned works management solution. This solution is specifically designed to improve YMCA SPG’s property condition management processes, ensuring that the facilities they offer are well-maintained and safe for the residents. The partnership aims to streamline operational efficiencies, allowing YMCA SPG to dedicate more focus on supporting the young people they serve.

Nilavra Mukerji, Group Director of Property and Places at YMCA St Paul’s Group said “ We are excited about this strategic partnership with Asprey which will provide us with a strong system to help manage and maintain the homes we provide”

David Ellis, Operations Director at Asprey, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome YMCA SPG to our expanding client base. We look forward to supporting their mission of providing and maintaining high-quality properties for their residents."

This collaboration between YMCA SPG and Asprey Management Solutions highlights the importance of strategic partnerships in ensuring that housing providers can continuously improve the quality of service they deliver while staying true to their core mission of supporting vulnerable young people.
